Hi, I'm Dr. Anthony DeGenaro, but you can just call me Tony!

You can also call me the world's biggest fan of 1996 cinema masterpiece Twister.

I am a professor of English at Ohio Dominican University, where I primarily teach first-year composition courses on writing and rhetoric. I am also a poet, and occasional teacher of creative writing at the University as well as with community literacy and youth education programs. I previously taught at University of Detroit Mercy, Wayne State University, and University of Michigan Dearborn. My Ph.D. (2021) is from Wayne State, my M.F.A. (2014) is from University of San Francisco, and my B.A. (2012) is from Otterbein University.

I am a huge pop culture dork, I love movies and popcorn, music and physical media, & video games and sports. The non-academic writing I produce is usually about any of these, which you can check out here! I'm still waiting on the Oakland Athletics to make it back to the Postseason but for next year I'll just be happy if they're still playing in the Bay Area.

At home, I have a beautiful son and two very noisy mini dachshunds, a mother and daughter duo named Desi & Poppy. Give them a follow! We all currently live in Plain City, Ohio.
